Our Farm

Similk Bay Farm is a U-Cut Christmas tree farm located on Fidalgo Island, WA. Each of our trees is hand-pruned to provide a natural, beautiful addition to your home. The past several years have been dedicated to regrowth, and our current supply is very limited. Under ideal conditions, it takes 8–12 years to grow a sellable Christmas tree, and our trees have weathered drought, flooding, insects, and disease. While we continue clearing older trees to create space and light for new seedlings, we’re working toward a fuller, healthier crop of Christmas trees for the years ahead.

We currently have Douglas Fir, Grand Fir, and a few other unique varieties available. In the coming years, we’ll have more Nordmann Fir, Grand Fir, and Douglas Fir trees. We’ve also planted Noble Fir and Balsam Fir, though those varieties haven’t thrived as well in our soil.

As a U-Cut farm, we provide saws for your use, though you’re welcome to bring your own hand or electric saw. For the 2025 season, all trees 4′ and taller are $50 (we reserve smaller trees for future growth). We accept cash or checks made out to Similk Bay Farm.

Dogs on leash are welcome—please remember to clean up after your pet.

Be sure to wear boots and watch your step. The farm can get muddy, and the ground is uneven in places. While you search for your “perfect” tree, enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and snickerdoodles.
